Today, Mrs. Herb’s class had a special visitor.
Toby, the miniature horse came to BEC.
A big thank you goes out to Maddie Cooper and her parents for arranging this. Maddie’s parents own Shady Hollow Farms, a nonprofit riding academy that helps children learn and love horses. The entire 5th grade got to visit with Toby and to learn about him and how he is cared for.

For more information about Shady Hollow Farms, please visit www.hugahorse.com 🙂

Our 5th grade is exploring CAREERS this month! Elementary school is a crucial time for developing career awareness and instilling a culture of self-empowerment. Our 5th grade took Career Interest Inventories and discovered what careers fit them best based off of their interests!

Make sure you remember that Wednesday, January 25th is Career Day at BEC! Pick a career and come to school ready for “work”. Be creative and have fun 🙂
