Mr. Aaron Sborz, Principal

  • It is with tremendous honor and pride that I introduce myself as the Principal of Daniel Boone Area High School. Since coming to the Blazer community in 2015, I have had numerous wonderful opportunities to meet many of our stakeholders and strengthen the Blazer Learning Community here at DBAHS. One of my first goals is to increase lines of communication within our community. We will be rolling out a more interactive high school webpage at Additionally, I will be providing daily updates and information on twitter @PrincipalSborz.

A student’s high school career is an exciting and daunting time for parents. At DBAHS, we will continue to build a supportive and collaborative environment for our students and parents. Parents, I challenge you to stay active in your student’s school life, even in the face of their attempts to assert their independence from you as they grow and mature into responsible young adults. Please utilize the Home Access Center found in the parent portal to foster open communication regarding your student’s performance. In doing so we can create an active and engaging school community that promotes a safe and positive learning environment.

As your school leader, I strive to make decisions based on what is best for your children’s academic, social, and emotional well-being. I feel fortunate to have this opportunity to serve the Blazer Learning Community and look forward to maximizing each student’s potential.

    Thank you and Go Blazers!

  • Hello Daniel Boone Students, Parents, and Community:

I am excited to be a part of the Blazer community!  I started at Daniel Boone Area School District on July 1st.  I have met a number of staff members, students, and parents since my arrival.  We will continue to put student achievement at the forefront and move our district forward.

I started my educational journey as a middle school math teacher at Northwest Middle School in the Reading School District.  Northwest Middle School was a model school for the state of Pennsylvania.  I enjoyed my teaching experience from 2006-2011.

Since the 2011-2012 school year, I have held a variety of administrative positions.  Those titles include Assistant Elementary Principal, Assistant Middle School Principal, Elementary Principal, and High School Principal.

Outside of school, I am married to my wife, Holly.  We have a 2-year-old son, Carson, as well as our newborn son, Milo, born August 2019.  We also have a 4-year-old black lab, Bella.

The 2019-2020 school year will be a special one.  I encourage you to make this school year wonderful.  Please call or email at any time.

    Your Partner in Education,

Ms. Angela Owens, Assistant Principal

  • Dear Daniel Boone Community,

I am honored to be moving into the role of Assistant Principal at Daniel Boone Area High School. I have been a part of the DB community for my entire life; First as a DB student and graduate, then as a community member and parent of two students, and finally as an educator. I have been employed by Daniel Boone for the past 13 years. I truly love the Douglassville and Birdsboro area and have a strong loyalty to our community.

During my time at DB, I have been an elementary teacher in grades 3,4, and 5, math interventionist, and district instructional coach. Prior to the field of education, I worked in sales and Human Resources in the manufacturing, food, and retail industries. All of these experiences have helped shape the person that I am and have provided invaluable lessons to prepare me for the role of an educational leader. I am passionate about providing students a safe and respectful environment where they can be active participants in their learning and growth.

Outside of my professional life, I reside in Douglassville with my husband, Chris, and two children, Ryan and Carlie. We have an extremely spoiled Australian Shepherd named Lacey. I enjoy the outdoors, bike riding on the Schuylkill River Trail, reading, spending time with family and friends, and getting away to the beach.

I am excited to develop long-lasting relationships here at the high school and to get to know the students, faculty, staff, families, and community. I welcome any communication with an open-door policy, so please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, suggestions, feedback, or concerns. I look forward to serving the DB community and to working together to educate our students and help them realize their potential.
