Notice is hereby given pursuant to provisions of the Pennsylvania Public School Code, the Pennsylvania Sunshine Act and Guaranteed Energy Savings Projects Act and Act 163 of 2016 in Title 62, Chapter 37, Subchapter E of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, that the Board of School Directors of the Daniel Boone Area School District will, at a School Board Voting Meeting to be held on June 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the District Board Room, 501 Chestnut St, Birdsboro, PA 19508 (enter via Door 5), take action to approve and accept a Guaranteed Energy Savings Agreement from Trane U.S. Inc. (“Trane”).
Scopes of work in this Guaranteed Energy Savings Project include select upgrades to the High School, Middle School, Intermediate School, and Primary Center, including: High School art room plumbing and floor; High School stage; High School electrical upgrades; High School generator; Primary Center glycol system improvements; and Building Envelope improvements. The Agreement further provides for potential additional scope of work measures to be priced in the Agreement for a total not to exceed Four Million, Four Hundred Thousand, Seven Hundred and Sixty-Three Dollars ($4,400,763.00)(“Base Bid”), subject to scope changes for a period of up to 48 months from substantial completion of the Base Bid work, pending PA Infrastructure Grant Awards.
The Agreement provides for services designed to reduce energy consumption and operational costs at the District’s premises, including a guaranteed minimum level of energy savings, measurement and verification, and performance period services over a 10-year guarantee term.
Members of the public are invited to attend and participate in the School Board Voting Meeting as permitted by law. A summary report of the proposed Guaranteed Energy Savings Agreement is available for public inspection at the District Administration Office, 501 Chestnut St, Birdsboro, PA 19508, during regular business hours.
