Mrs. Megan Weber, Principal
Hello DB Community!
Each and every year we are excited to work with our new and returning students and community. This place is truly special. It is our hope that all students will have an incredible experience.
When I moved to this area and was hired by Daniel Boone in 2004, I had no idea that I would meet my husband (DB Class of 1992) and raise my daughter (DB Class of 2026) and son (DB Class of 2028) here. Though I miss my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, I am proud we are Blazers! During my tenure, I have had the opportunity to teach MS and HS Math and serve as an Assistant Principal at DBAHS. I approach each year with a fresh outlook and the expectation that all of my students and staff will succeed and flourish.
I was incredibly blessed when given the opportunity to lead the Intermediate Center in 2018. When I was in college I never imagined teaching this age group, but through the life experience of raising my children, I found that I LOVE the energy and excitement of this age and found that our students bring this in each day. It’s going to be a great year, “We Believe in You” is our continuing theme as we want each and every child to be provided the supports they need to be successful.
Yours in Education,
Daniel Boone Area Intermediate Center
Mr. Curtis Fleming, Assistant Principal
Dear Intermediate Center families,
As your assistant principal of both the Primary Center and Intermediate Center, I would like to extend a warm welcome to every family in the Daniel Boone community! I am excited to begin another year working in partnership to ensure every student in the Primary Center and the Intermediate Center are actively engaged in a rigorous learning experience while developing social-emotional skills that will foster resilience, perseverance, empathy and the ability to collaborate and communicate in diverse communities.
This past school year, it has been my honor serving as the Intermediate Center's Assistant Principal as well as our district's Safety and Security Coordinator. During my service, I have taken advantage of the opportunity to learn all that I can about our wonderful Boone staff, community and culture. I will now be focusing my service under Mrs. Hefter and Mrs. Weber, at both elementary buildings, to continue to build the culture alongside our staff and students.
As the new school year starts, I want to assure you that I will make every effort to provide the kind of leadership that honors Daniel Boone’s history and support the continued efforts of the staff and volunteers to provide an outstanding education for our students.
It is with great pride and honor to serve your children. Because of this, we want you to know that we take our responsibility as educators very seriously. We will do everything in our power to make sure your child feels respected, safe, happy and successful. One of the greatest characteristics of the Daniel Boone learning community is the genuine care and compassion shared between staff, students, and parents. I can attest that the Primary Center and Intermediate Center are both places where staff and families come together to ensure that the children entrusted into our care grow to be productive, confident, compassionate, members of a global society.
I am looking forward to an amazing year!
