The Daniel Boone Area School District kicked off the school year with an evening of fun, resources, and community spirit at its Back-to-School Event held at the high school.

Students and families enjoyed a wide range of activities including yard games, snacks, sensory items, school supplies, and wellness information. Families were also able to pick up children’s clothing, helping students feel confident and ready to start the new year. One of the highlights of the evening was the opportunity for students to receive free haircuts, generously provided by community partners.

The district extended special thanks to Salon Aspire in Birdsboro, Lords & Ladies Salon & Spa in Douglassville, and Studio K in Linfield—for donating their time and talents. Their contribution ensured students headed into the first day of school looking and feeling their best.

In addition, the Best family provided donated school supplies, while the Birdsboro Union Fire Department brought vehicles for students to explore, adding excitement and hands-on learning to the evening.

“The weather was beautiful and it was wonderful to see so many families come together as we start another school year,” said Lisa Kieke, Community Relations for the Daniel Boone Area School District. “Events like this show the strength of our community and their dedication to go above and beyond for our students.”

With the success of this event setting the tone, the district is excited for a school year filled with learning, growth, and community connection.
