Students from Mrs. Ober-Miller’s class at Daniel Boone Area Middle School recently visited the Primary Center to teach a first-grade math lesson—and it was a wonderful experience for everyone involved!
Both the middle schoolers and first graders enjoyed partnering together, and our middle school students truly shined as they demonstrated strong leadership skills while teaching our youngest learners.
A big thank you to Mrs. Ober-Miller for organizing this special opportunity for her students and our Primary Center students. Experiences like this make learning even more meaningful! 💙

📸 Throwback Thursday: Birdsboro’s Second High School — The Roosevelt Building 🏫
Did you know that Birdsboro’s second high school had its own school song (pictured below)? 🎶
Built in 1927, the Roosevelt Building served as Birdsboro’s high school until 1955, when Amity, Union, and Birdsboro joined together. After that, it became the Daniel Boone Junior High School. The building was located just behind the original high school—the Washington Building—between Adams and Jefferson Streets on West 3rd Street.
Drop a comment if you remember this school song! 👇🎵
✨ Behind the Scenes: Our monthly Throwback Thursday posts are being created by our Communications Intern, senior Dan Shank. Dan enjoys research and interviews and is excited to hone his skills while working alongside our DB Communications Team.

Students in Mrs. Serianni’s classes are putting their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test with their new KEVA Bot Mazes, generously provided by the Blazer Education Foundation.
These STEM-focused building kits let kids design and build their own motorized “bristle bots” and create custom mazes for them to navigate. Using wooden planks, connectors, and craft materials, students explore engineering, coding, and hands-on experimentation, all while having fun!
We love seeing our students think, build, and innovate every day! 💡

January is School Board Appreciation Month, and we want to thank our dedicated Daniel Boone Area School District Board of Directors for their leadership, time, and commitment to our students, staff, and community.

Installing fresh starts, new memories, and another great year at Boone.
Happy New Year to our DB families! 🎉💙 #BooneProud

At our December 22nd Giving Market, we were incredibly grateful to receive a generous donation of fresh produce from one of our middle school students, David, as part of his Bar Mitzvah project.
With the support of his mom, David has focused his project on community service, making a meaningful impact in many ways. In addition to this produce donation, David has provided school supplies to families in need, organized a coat and clothing drive, and will be working with Opportunity House to continue serving others.
Our Giving Market attendees were so thankful for the fresh produce. Thanks to the abundance, we were also able to share with the greater Boone community by stocking the community fridge at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Birdsboro.
We are proud of David’s compassion and commitment to helping others—his kindness truly reflects the spirit of Boone.

Wishing our Daniel Boone Area School District families a joyful Christmas filled with peace, warmth, and time with those you love. Thank you for being such a supportive and caring community—we are truly #BooneProud.

As we head into winter break, we want to take a moment to wish all of our Blazer families a season filled with joy, rest, and moments that warm the heart.
This year’s district holiday card — distributed to all DBASD staff — was designed by Ninaluz Munteanu, Class of 2029. Her playful snowman, festive trees, and hand-drawn swirls beautifully capture the creativity, spirit, and heart of the season.
As we wrap up 2025, we are grateful for the dedication, care, and community spirit that make Daniel Boone such a special place. Your support makes a lasting impact on our students, our schools, and one another.
From all of us at the Daniel Boone Area School District — Happy Holidays and a wonderful New Year! We can’t wait to see what 2026 brings.

On Tuesday, December 16th, the Select Chorus and Jazz Band from DBAMS took their talents on the road, visiting both the Intermediate Center and the Primary Center as part of a special Performance Tour.
In between performances, students enjoyed lunch at McDonald’s—and even surprised the staff with a song as a heartfelt thank you! 🎤💙
Our DBAMS music students loved sharing their talents and spreading holiday cheer with our younger students and community partners. What a wonderful way to celebrate the season!
