We’re just days away from watching our very own Chris Guiliano compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics! 🎉🏅
Chris, a 2021 Boone grad and three-time PIAA swim champion, is making waves on the world stage. Chris, who is currently majoring in economics with a minor in computing and digital technologies at Notre Dame, has worked incredibly hard to reach this pinnacle of athletic achievement. We couldn’t be more proud of him!
Here’s when you can catch him in action:
📅 Competition Schedule (from the Reading Eagle):
July 28: Guiliano gets into the pool at 5 a.m. for his first individual event – the heats of the 200 freestyle which will be on USA network. The semifinals in the 200 free are at 2:50 p.m. and will be shown on NBC.
July 29: If he qualifies for the 200 free finals, Guiliano will swim at 2:40 p.m. and it will be shown on NBC.
July 30: This shapes up to be a busy day for Guiliano. The 100 freestyle heats start 5 a.m. and will be shown on USA network and streamed on Peacock. Guiliano won this event at the U.S. Trials. The semifinals will be later in the day at 2:30 p.m. and shown on NBC. The heats in the 4 x 200 freestyle relay will also be held in the morning session, with the finals ending the evening program at 3:59 p.m. NBC will televise the evening session.
July 31: The men’s final in the 100 free is scheduled for 4:15 p.m., the day’s last event, and will be televised on NBC.
Aug. 1: Should Guiliano swim in the 100 freestyle finals, he won’t have long to rest with the heats in the 50 freestyle starting at 5 a.m. They will be shown on USA network. The 50 semifinals are at 2:40 p.m. and will be shown on NBC.
Aug. 2: The 50 finals are at 2:30 p.m. and will be on NBC. Unless Guiliano swims the freestyle on any of the U.S.’s medley relays, the 50 free would be his last event. The swimming competition ends Aug. 4.

🏈 Today we wrapped up our week-long Daniel Boone Football Youth Camp for students in Grades 1-8! From July 22-25, our young athletes worked hard to develop their football skills and build meaningful relationships. This camp helps bridge the gap between the Blazer Midget Football program and the High School program, fostering a strong community and team spirit. 🏈

We're thrilled to share some pictures from our Summer Academic Connections program being held at the Primary Center for incoming kindergarten through rising 5th graders! ☀️Each week of the program, which runs July 8th through July 31st, students dive into fun themes like Animals, Camping/Vacation, Ocean/Water, and Summer Olympics! 🏖️🌊🏕️
This year, the program proudly hosts 171 eager learners, thanks to generous support from the United Way Summer Learning Grant and the Blazer Education Foundation, alongside other grants which help cover program costs.

Unfortunately, with a comprehensive review of the impending predicted weather conditions. In an abundance of caution, we will be delaying the Commencement ceremony for the Class of 2024 until Thursday June 6, at 7pm. Seniors will report to auditorium through door 1 at 6:15pm, gates to the stadium will open at 6:30pm.

Daniel Boone Football Youth Camp 2024
The Daniel Boone Football Program will be holding its annual youth camp from Monday, July 22- Thursday, July 25 from 9 AM- 12 PM. Price is $70.00 per camper with a family cap of $125.00. Please reach out to Coach Okuniewski with any questions.

The IC honors Memorial Day! Mrs. Mary Beth Grey and Mrs. Lori Snavely led our 3rd grade students in the annual Memorial Day celebration this morning with speeches and songs. Great work 3rd grade! As a reminder school will be closed on Monday, May 27th in observance of Memorial Day.
Today we recognized our outstanding 4th graders as they finish up their final year at the IC! Each student has worked very hard throughout the school year and we thank you for all of your support as well. Great work, Blazers!

The old greeting the new. Yesterday was our Bridge Day program. 4th IC students travelled to the MS but before leaving, greeted our 1st grade friends. The first graders were also able to pose questions to our resident experts - current 2nd graders!
Today is a day to celebrate! The IC's Reading Olympics team competed last night and took home 1st and 3rd place. Congrats to our student participants and to their advisors, Mrs. Robin Fox and Mrs. Rae Hetrick!
2 for 2! Second graders had a blast with Field Day today. Thanks again to Lisa Schwenk for coordinating 2 fun filled days for our students. And, thanks to our high school and parent volunteers. We are fortunate to have you!
