The old greeting the new. Yesterday was our Bridge Day program. 4th IC students travelled to the MS but before leaving, greeted our 1st grade friends. The first graders were also able to pose questions to our resident experts - current 2nd graders!

Today is a day to celebrate! The IC's Reading Olympics team competed last night and took home 1st and 3rd place. Congrats to our student participants and to their advisors, Mrs. Robin Fox and Mrs. Rae Hetrick!

2 for 2! Second graders had a blast with Field Day today. Thanks again to Lisa Schwenk for coordinating 2 fun filled days for our students. And, thanks to our high school and parent volunteers. We are fortunate to have you!

Round 1 of Field Day! Our third and fourth graders had a blast today with Field Day activities. Thanks first and foremost to our PE teacher, Lisa Schwenk, for coordinating the day. We also had great volunteer support from parents and high school students. Thanks also to HS teacher Jeff Bailey for coordinating the HS volunteers. Second grade - you're up next! It will hotter than today so please prepare with sunscreen, bug spray, and water.

Our teachers rock! This week, we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week and recognize the amazing work of our teachers. Our PTC kicked the week off with some words of praise and special treats!

Reminder - today is Field Day for 3rd and 4th graders! The grass will likely be wet, so please have your child plan accordingly.
2nd grade will have their Field Day tomorrow, Wednesday.

Mrs. Hillman's Kindness Squad extended their campaign by helping out with the recent Beautify Birdsboro event. Thanks for this awesome community effort!

The IC After-School Art program is cancelled today, Tuesday, April 30. Thank you!
So thankful to our transportation department and our bus drivers! Bus drivers are often the first and last contact a student has in the school day and have the weighty task of getting a bus load of students to and from the building safely each day. Thank you for today and every other school day!

Earlier this week, students in Mrs. Hillman's 3rd grade class were able to meet and interact with one of their favorite authors, Beth Ferry. As part of the meeting, students experienced a read aloud, asked questions of the author, and learned about the writing process!
