Throwback Thursday 📚✨ Step back in time with us to the origins of the Daniel Boone Junior-Senior High School! These classic snapshots capture a newly finished science lab, classroom, auditorium, and gymnasium in our brand-new building circa mid-1960's. The story behind the school is as memorable as the building itself! The journey started in 1955 with the formation of a jointure between Amity, Union, and Birdsboro. Expansion plans were approved in 1960, and Birdsboro was chosen as the site. Construction kicked off in 1964, overcoming challenges like strikes, a flood, and even a hurricane! Despite these obstacles, our doors opened on September 7, 1966—although some areas like the auditorium, gym, and art and music rooms were still under construction. 🛠️ Finally, in the spring of 1967, the Daniel Boone Junior-Senior High School was dedicated, marking the completion of a vision that shaped our school community. 🏫🌟 #ThrowbackThursday #BooneProud #DanielBooneClassof1967

🚌✨ National Bus Safety Week Tip #5! ✨🚌 It’s our last tip for the week: Red means STOP! When you see a school bus activate its amber/yellow lights, it’s approaching a stop. Never rush through these lights—students may not always wait for the red lights to activate before crossing. Remember, the bus will not block the intersection. 🚦 Important reminders: Do not turn left in front of the bus if students are loading on the right; they may be coming from all directions. Wait until the red lights are OFF before moving your vehicle. Let’s keep our kids safe on their way to school! Thank you for prioritizing bus safety this week and every day! #BusSafety #NationalBusSafetyWeek #SafetyFirst

🚌✨ National Bus Safety Week Tip #4! ✨🚌 Today’s important reminder: Use your inside voice while riding the school bus! Keeping noise levels down helps the driver stay focused on the road, ensuring a safe ride for everyone. Disruptive behavior like yelling or screaming can lead to accidents, so let’s keep our voices low and respectful. Remember to respect others' personal space and communicate with kindness and consideration. Together, we can create a safer and more pleasant bus experience! Stay tuned for more tips this week! #BusSafety #NationalBusSafetyWeek #SafetyFirst

Remember to keep your legs out of the aisle, sit with your bottom on the seat, and face forward. This helps everyone enter and exit safely. 🚦 Wait until the bus comes to a complete stop before standing up. This ensures it’s safe to exit and helps prevent slips, trips, and falls. Let’s make every ride a safe ride! Stay tuned for more tips this week! #BusSafety #NationalBusSafetyWeek #SafetyFirst

🚌✨ National Bus Safety Week Tip #2! ✨🚌 This week, we're sharing crucial safety tips for our students and families. Today’s tip: Arrive at the bus stop 5 to 10 minutes early! Being at the stop ahead of time allows the bus driver to see you clearly and helps prevent the need to run after a missed bus. Remember, once the bus has started moving, it’s never safe to approach— the driver may not see you! Let’s keep our kids safe by making bus safety a priority. Stay tuned for more tips this week! #BusSafety #NationalBusSafetyWeek #SafetyFirst

🚌✨ It's National School Bus Safety Week! ✨🚌 This week, we're sharing important tips to keep our students and families safe. Today's tip: Avoid the Danger Zone! The danger zone is a 10-12 foot area around the bus where the driver may not see you. Here’s how to stay safe: ✅ If you drop something near the bus, don’t try to pick it up! Alert the bus driver instead. 🚫 Never run after a missed bus. Once it’s moving, it’s never safe to approach. 👀 Always make eye contact with the bus driver before crossing or entering the bus. This ensures they see you and that it’s safe to move. 🛑 While waiting, stand back from the road until the bus has completely stopped. Let's work together to keep our kids safe! Stay tuned for more tips throughout the week. #SchoolBusSafety #NationalSchoolBusSafetyWeek #SafetyFirst
