Today we celebrate Mrs. Doreen Harris as she begins her well-earned retirement after five years as a Special Education Paraprofessional at the Primary Center! 💙

One of Doreen’s favorite memories was teaching Kindergarten students to sign "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong and seeing the excitement on their faces when they finally understood a new concept. She shared that working at Boone gave her a greater appreciation for all that teachers do each day.

Doreen hopes to be remembered for the little things—sharing kindness, smiles, and creating positive memories for students. Her career highlight reel would certainly include the smiles and laughter she inspired by using a train whistle or duck call to get students’ attention!

In retirement, Doreen is looking forward to traveling and enjoying the freedom to do what she wants, when she wants.

Thank you, Doreen, for your kindness, dedication, and the joy you brought to our students. Congratulations on your retirement! 🎉 #BooneProud

Miss Goudie, Mrs. Pritchard, and Miss Vertacnik's classes recently enjoyed an exciting field trip to the Reading Science Center this week! 🔬🌈

Students explored the fascinating world of LIGHT through hands-on learning experiences and even created their own special souvenir to take home — a rainbow in a bottle! After their experiment, the children toured the science center and interacted with a variety of fun and engaging science-themed activities and projects.

🌱☀️ A perfect day for learning and growing! ☀️🌱

Our High School Ecology Club spent the day at the Primary Center for Kinder-garden Day, and the sunshine made it even more special! 🌼

Ecology Club members led hands-on stations where our kindergarten students explored healthy eating, learned about the importance of bees, and discovered the life cycle of plants. The highlight of the day? Getting their hands in the dirt—planting in the garden and taking home their very own plants to grow! 🌿
