Big smiles, excited faces, and the first of many memories for the 2026-2027 school year! 📸
Yesterday's Primary Center Building Tour gave students and their families a chance to explore their new classrooms and snap a photo at our back-to-school picture spot (thanks to our friends at the Daniel Boone PTC!). It was wonderful to see so many of our youngest learners excited for their first day!

One of Doreen’s favorite memories was teaching Kindergarten students to sign "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong and seeing the excitement on their faces when they finally understood a new concept. She shared that working at Boone gave her a greater appreciation for all that teachers do each day.
Doreen hopes to be remembered for the little things—sharing kindness, smiles, and creating positive memories for students. Her career highlight reel would certainly include the smiles and laughter she inspired by using a train whistle or duck call to get students’ attention!
In retirement, Doreen is looking forward to traveling and enjoying the freedom to do what she wants, when she wants.
Thank you, Doreen, for your kindness, dedication, and the joy you brought to our students. Congratulations on your retirement! 🎉 #BooneProud

As we near the end of the school year, families are asked to please check their student’s school lunch account to make sure all balances are paid in full. Keeping accounts up to date helps us close out the year smoothly. Any balances remaining unpaid after June 30th will be sent to a collection agency.
If you have questions about your balance, please contact our Assistant Business Manager, Nicholas Gamble at nicholas.gamble@dboone.org
Thank you for your attention to this important end-of-year reminder!

As we approach the end of the school year, all students are reminded to please return any library books before the last day of school. Returning books on time helps make sure all materials are accounted for and ready for students next year.
If you are unsure whether you still have a book checked out, please stop by the library and our staff will be happy to help. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school libraries organized and ready for learning!

We are excited to welcome families and community members for an evening focused on supporting one another and giving back. The Giving Market provides an opportunity for families to “shop” for essential items, resources, and support in a welcoming environment.
A huge thank you to all of our volunteers, donors, staff members, and community partners who helped make these events possible. Your generosity and kindness continue to make a difference for our students and families.
Together, we are stronger. #BooneProud

Today we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness have protected the freedoms we enjoy every day.
As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we pause to reflect with gratitude on those who gave everything for our country.
❤️🤍💙 #BooneProud

There will be no school on Monday, May 25 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Classes will resume on Tuesday, May 26.
