They’re also practicing writing their new sight words, including “the” and “is,” while building those important early literacy skills. ✏️📖
And after all that hard work? A well-deserved visit to the sensory room as a reward! 🎉

The first graders in Miss Housel’s class had SO much fun cutting out shapes from cereal boxes today! They used Magna-Tiles to trace their shapes onto cardboard, then got creative decorating their designs while waiting their turn to use the Chompsaw.
Hands-on learning + creativity + a little bit of power-tool fun = a GREAT day in first grade! 🎨✨
