📚✨ September Reading Challenge = SUCCESS! ✨📚

We are thrilled to share that 183 Primary Center students completed at least 20 different reading choices from their September chart—what an incredible way to kick off the school year! 👏

🎉 Special shout-out to Mrs. Pursell’s kindergarten class and Mrs. Altomari’s first grade class for having the most participants this month!

Each reader who joined in earned a charm bracelet and their very first charm. Plus, every month they continue, they’ll collect a new charm to celebrate their reading journey—what a fun way to grow as readers! 💫

Way to go, Blazers! We are so proud of you! 💙 #BooneProud

National IT Professionals Day From Boone to the World - IT makes it Possible!
🥪🍎 No lunch packing for 3 days!

Sept. 17–19, all K & 1st grade students can enjoy FREE breakfast & lunch in the cafeteria thanks to The Nutrition Group’s Nutrition for Life program.

Encourage your child to give it a try! #BooneProud
3 months ago, Daniel Boone Area School District
Hello Kindergarten & 1st Grade Primary Center Parents! Your child is invited to participate in the Nutrition for Life program. When: September 17th, 18th, 19th Where: The school cafeteria, during lunch Who: All K & 1st grade levels students - even devoted lunch packers. What: Participants get to try a complimentary lunch and breakfast meal each day featuring special menus, as well as special events, prizes and more! The Nutrition Group - your school's food service provider - is thrilled to introduce your child to our Nutrition for Life program. What is Nutrition for Life? The Nutrition for Life program was developed to help younger students explore the cafeteria and the yummy choices we have, and to feel comfortable when they want to come in and participate in breakfast or lunch. How does it work? Thanks to The Nutrition Group's food vendor partners, your child will get to try a complimentary lunch and breakfast meal on each of the three days. Our friendly staff will help your child learn how to choose nutritious options in our cafeteria. We will have a variety of kid-friendly favorites and tasty new foods to sample. There will be fun, special events and even prizes for each day that your child participates. How can your child participate? No RSVP is necessary. Just talk to your child about Nutrition for Life and encourage them to attend each day. No need to pack a lunch those days! The teachers and cafeteria staff will help get them where they need to be. Our hope is that your child enjoys the cafeteria experience and food, and that you enjoy the ease and convenience of not packing meals for your child every day. It would be our pleasure to serve your child for the next 12 years. Did you know? The Nutrition Group is committed to educating your child on the importance of making balance food choices, and to providing delicious and nutritious meals. Every day in our cafeteria, we offer our students: 1 serving of meat, 1 serving of grains, 1 serving of milk, 2 servings of fruits and/or veggies. For more information about the National School Lunch Program, visit www.fns.usda.gov/nsip
The best way to understand the setting of a story? Step inside it! 📖✨ Our Primary Center students brought "Henry on Wheels" to life last week by using chalk and items with wheels from home to recreate the neighborhood setting. 🚲🛹🛼

Their creative designs included a bridge, park, houses, school, parking lots, a pet shop (perfect for a hamster wheel!), and even a ramp for a wheelchair.

Hands-on learning + imagination = one Fun FriYAY! 🎉 #BooneProud
