Minds were glowing in Mrs. Bugay's STEM class this week. Students started their lesson this week with a silly read aloud that had some glow-in-the dark features. From there, students were able to explore, construct, and think deeply about items that glow in the dark. Our thanks to Mrs. Bugay for the innovative lesson, to our students for their amazing creativity, and to the parents and community members who donated various glow-in-the dark supplies for students to use!

No, our students have grown several inches overnight! Several high school students joined our students for an Elementary Reading Day. High school students spent time with IC students at lunch and recess and participated in read alouds in classrooms. Our thanks to the volunteers and to Mr. Bailey, HS history teacher and coordinator of the event.

Did you know that today is National School Resource Officer Day? Students in Mrs. Kelly Hillman's class did and made sure to celebrate our school resource officer, Mr. Kevin Alderfer. Mr. Kevin, as we affectionally call him, is often the first and last person our students see on a school day. Mr. Kevin is always ready with a warm hello, a hug, high five, or fist bump and we are lucky to have him!
