π Ninth Grade Students Explore Local Careers Through Berks Business Tours
On Thursday, our ninth-grade class took part in the Berks Business Education Coalitionβs annual Business Toursβa key experience within the Freshman Leadership Network program.
The Berks Business Education Coalition (BBEC) works to build strong partnerships between local businesses and schools, helping students explore career pathways and develop leadership skills that prepare them for life after graduation. Through programs like the Business Tours, BBEC connects students with real-world learning opportunities and the many industries that drive our region.
Students began the day with an opening session led by a local business representative before traveling to their assigned tour site. Each group visited one of the following Berks County businesses for a behind-the-scenes look at daily operations and career opportunities:
πΉ Cambridge Lee Industries
πΉ East Penn Manufacturing
πΉ Electro-Space Fabricators
πΉ Classic Harley-Davidson
πΉ New Castle Lawn & Landscape
πΉ Muhlenberg Greene Architects
This hands-on experience allowed students to see potential careers in action and learn directly from professionals across a variety of industries.
πΈ Included are photos of our students touring Classic Harley-Davidson.
Weβre grateful to BBEC and all participating businesses for opening their doors and helping our students explore their futures!

We continue to highlight the meaningful ways our High School Life Skills students gain hands-on experience through community partnerships.
Once a week, students visit Keystone Villa to support their dining servicesβclearing and wiping down tables after lunch and resetting them for dinner.
These tasks may seem simple, but they build essential skillsβresponsibility, communication, attention to detail, and the confidence that comes from being part of a team. πβ¨
Weβre proud of the growth we see each week and the positive connections our students are forming across Blazer Nation!

ππ» Safe Trick-or-Treat Night was a spook-tacular success!
Thanks to the DBEA (Daniel Boone Education Association), our students and families had a fantastic night winding through the halls of the high school, collecting candy from school support groups, school board members, administrators, teachers, and student groups.
Even better, we collected personal care items and canned goods for our Caring Closets and Giving Markets which support our Boone families in need. What a wonderful night of community, fun, and giving back! β€οΈ
