π𧱠While many seniors will be celebrating graduation this week, Daniel Boone senior Owen Heimbach has already received his diploma so he can represent our school on a national stage!
Owen is one of five Berks Career & Technology Center students who qualified for the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Due to a scheduling conflict between the national competition and local graduation ceremonies, Owen faced a difficult choiceβattend graduation or compete at nationals.
He chose to compete.
During BCTCβs Senior Recognition Ceremony, Owen was presented with his Daniel Boone diploma by Superintendent Tom Voelker, allowing him to be recognized before departing for Atlanta to compete in Masonry.
We are incredibly proud of Owen for this outstanding achievement and for representing Daniel Boone, BCTC, and Berks County on the national level.
Please join us in wishing Owen the very best of luck at SkillsUSA Nationals! #BooneProud

We love seeing our students gain real-world experience while learning from talented professionals in our community!
Through this internship, Katie is gaining hands-on experience in photography, client interaction, editing, and the creative process behind running a successful photography business. Serenaβs passion for capturing authentic moments and creating personality-filled portraits has made this an incredible opportunity for Katie to grow her skills and explore her future career interests.
Itβs always special to see Boone alumni giving back and helping inspire the next generation. Thank you, Serena, for mentoring and supporting our students!

As we near the end of the school year, families are asked to please check their studentβs school lunch account to make sure all balances are paid in full. Keeping accounts up to date helps us close out the year smoothly. Any balances remaining unpaid after June 30th will be sent to a collection agency.
If you have questions about your balance, please contact our Assistant Business Manager, Nicholas Gamble at nicholas.gamble@dboone.org
Thank you for your attention to this important end-of-year reminder!

As we approach the end of the school year, all students are reminded to please return any library books before the last day of school. Returning books on time helps make sure all materials are accounted for and ready for students next year.
If you are unsure whether you still have a book checked out, please stop by the library and our staff will be happy to help. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school libraries organized and ready for learning!

Using hardwoods like walnut, cherry, maple, ash, purpleheart, poplar, and oak, students designed, shaped, and crafted boards that reflect their own creativity and personality.
Functional, beautiful, and completely one-of-a-kindβjust like our students. π

Every year, Mrs. Millerβs Chemistry students take on the famous βEgg Dropβ project. Using a chemical reaction, students produce a gas that inflates a baggie inside a protective device designed to keep an egg safe when dropped from the second floor to the ground outside.
The project challenges students to apply their knowledge of stoichiometry by carefully calculating the exact amount of inflation they want, while making sure the baking soda and vinegar reaction is perfectly balanced with no excess reactants.
For those inquiring minds who want to know β¦ only 7 out of 32 eggs survived the fall! π
Even more impressive β only ONE individual student (who worked completely alone) achieved perfect results:
β Egg survived
β Bag stayed sealed
β No direct tape applied to the egg bag
β Correct stoichiometric ratio
Amazing work by our Chemistry students putting classroom learning into action! #BooneProud
