Last night, we had the honor of celebrating the achievements of our outstanding seniors during our annual Scholarship Night. Over $71,000 in scholarships was awarded to deserving members of the Class of 2025! 💙💰
We are so proud of their hard work, dedication, and bright futures ahead. A huge thank you to all of the donors, community partners, and families who make these opportunities possible. 👏

Congratulations to Abigail Beltz, Meadow Fleckenstein, and Haley Wagner — they’ve officially graduated from Reading Area Community College (RACC) with associate’s degrees… before even receiving their high school diplomas! 🎉
Thanks to RACC’s Dual Enrollment program, these driven students earned college credits while completing high school — a remarkable achievement that highlights the power of hard work, dedication, and academic ambition. 👏

🎾 Huge congratulations to Chase Gerloff, our District III 3A Champion! 🏆 Representing Daniel Boone, Chase entered the PIAA District III Class 3A Boys Tennis Singles Tournament as the player to beat—and he absolutely delivered.
The sophomore rolled through four straight-set matches, capping off the two-day tourney on May 3rd with a dominant 6-1, 6-1 win over Ephrata’s Zach Keiper in the championship. 💪
Chase’s path to the title included:
✅ 6-1, 6-0 wins in the first two rounds
✅ A 6-0, 6-0 shutout in the semifinals over Dylan Bonds of Twin Valley
✅ Dropping just 3 games the entire tournament! 🔥

Our high school seniors had a blast celebrating Decision Day, marking their next big step after graduation! Whether they’re headed to college, trade school, the military, or into the workforce, we’re proud of each and every one of them.
Students enjoyed games, snacks, and some great photo ops with friends — and got to rep their future schools with some awesome swag! 🎓📸🎈

🎓 Celebrating Our Early College Academy Graduates! 🎓
Congratulations to Isabelle Kirtner and Alice Palumbo for completing the Early College Academy through Kutztown University! These outstanding students spent their senior year taking college-level courses on KU’s campus, earning up to 12 college credits before high school graduation — an incredible achievement!
Their names are now proudly displayed on a plaque in our Counseling Suite, serving as inspiration for future students who choose to challenge themselves through this unique dual enrollment opportunity.
Thank you to Kutztown University for partnering with area high schools to provide accelerated access to higher education through the General Studies Track. We’re #BooneProud of Isabelle and Alice for setting the bar high!

Wednesday, April 30th marked our 3rd annual Kinder-Garden Day — a special tradition where the DBHS Ecology Club spends the day with our kindergartners!
Students rotated through five interactive stations, exploring the wonders of plants, pollination, and healthy eating. It was a fun and educational day full of hands-on learning, laughter, and growing minds 🌼🥕🐝

On April 19, 1969, Daniel Boone held its first-ever Junior-Senior Prom at the historic Sunnybrook Ballroom—a tradition that has stood the test of time. Just check out those classic white tuxedos, elegant long gloves, and timeless style!
Fast forward to today: our 2025 prom is happening this Saturday, May 3rd—once again at Sunnybrook! We can't wait to see how the fashions have evolved since that night 56 years ago. 👗✨🎶

🏆 Big Congrats to Owen Heimbach! 🧱
Owen took 1st place in Masonry at the SkillsUSA State Competition held in Hershey from April 2–4! He crushed a 20-minute written exam and completed a complex brick and block project in just 5 hours—something only 3 out of 10 participants managed to finish.
Thanks to his stellar performance, Owen is heading to Atlanta from July 23–28 to compete on the national stage against 44 other top contenders! There, he’ll take another written exam and tackle a 6-hour masonry project.
We’re incredibly proud of Owen and wish him the best as he prepares for Nationals and his future career at Zook Masonry. 👷♂️💪

As we count down to this year’s Freezin’ for a Reason event being held on Tuesday, April 22nd, let’s throw it back to where it all began—the OG event in 2022!
Daniel Boone hosted its first-ever Freezin’ for a Reason to support Special Olympics of Pennsylvania, and it was an absolute blast! Groups braved the icy spray from a fire truck—whether they donated or got soaked, everyone had a great time for a great cause! 💙
That first year, an impressive $3,585 was raised for Special Olympics. Let’s see if they can top it this year! 🌊💪
