Junior-Senior Prom Is Held At Sunnybrook Ballroom. For the first time, the Daniel Boone Junior-Senior Prom  was held at the spacious Sunnybrook Ballroom.  The banquet and dance began at 6:30 PM on April 1, 1969.  Receiving guests were the Junior and Senior class officers and their dates, the junior class advisor, Mr. Dantas, and Dr. Willar and Mr. Schlegel.  The opening invocation was given by the Reverend Kenneth Cosbey, pastor of St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church.  Introductions and greetings by Mr. Schlegel were followed by Donald Millard's welcome to the Seniors, and Kurt Snyder's acceptance of welcome.  The menu included breast of capon, whipped potatoes, and corn.  Dancing began at eight o'clock and continued until eleven.  The  program opened with a waltz for class officers and faculty, followed by dancing for everyone.  Music was provided by the Nu Creation.

πŸ† Big Congrats to Owen Heimbach! 🧱 Owen took 1st place in Masonry at the SkillsUSA State Competition held in Hershey from April 2–4! He crushed a 20-minute written exam and completed a complex brick and block project in just 5 hoursβ€”something only 3 out of 10 participants managed to finish. Thanks to his stellar performance, Owen is heading to Atlanta from July 23–28 to compete on the national stage against 44 other top contenders! There, he’ll take another written exam and tackle a 6-hour masonry project. Daniel Boone hosted its first-ever Freezin’ for a Reason to support Special Olympics of Pennsylvania, and it was an absolute blast!
