DBAHS Tennis: Berks County Playoffs For the first time in program history the Daniel Boone Boys Tennis team is BCIAA Playoff bound! They finished division play with a record of 7-1 with key wins over defending champion Wilson and rival Exeter. The Boys tennis team's first ever playoff game will be Friday, April 26th @ 3:30. The location and time has not been determined yet. #DBBlazers

DBAHS Music Department: Disney's Magic Kingdom The DBAHS Music Department traveled to Orlando, FL on April 3-7 to participate in several amazing performances. The choir performed a concert at Disney Springs and the band marched in the Main Street parade in Magic Kingdom. Then both groups participated in backstage soundtrack sessions with Disney staff to record their own Disney soundtracks! Students also had plenty of time to enjoy time in all 4 parks. Way to represent the Daniel Boone community! #DBBlazers

DBAHS Student Recognition: Good Citizenship Award On Wednesday, March 20th, Olivia Darrohn, Myah Derer, and Giana Stoltzfus were each presented with a 2024 Union League of Philadelphia Good Citizenship Award. These three young ladies were nominated by members within the Daniel Boone community, through the Girl Scouts of Eastern PA organization. The award recognizes high school students who demonstrate good citizenship and encourage them to stay actively engaged in their communities. This annual program recognizes and awards nearly 300 high school juniors from the Greater Philadelphia region and positions them to potentially receive scholarships next year from the Union League of Philadelphia. Congrats to Olivia, Myah and Giana! #DBBlazers

DBAHS FBLA State Competition Exciting news everyone! FBLA has returned safe and triumphant from our state competition in Hershey. Each student was an incredible representative of Daniel Boone and put in tremendous effort in preparing for each of their competitions. We would also like to acknowledge all of the teachers these students have had over the years. The positive impact all of you continue to have on their growth is undeniable. DBAIC STEM Night On Thursday, April 4, the Chief Science Officers of Daniel Boone: Anna Beth Glass, Sadie Mardeness, Quentin Hart, and Rhys Kline (Not pictured) organized,in partnership with Mrs. Bugay and Mrs. Worrell, a STEM Night of fun themed to the ocean. Around 50 families attended and were treated to building challenges, an art project, and coding with ocean creatures. A special thank you to the BCIU for the grant for the supplies for the event, the FBLA club who volunteered at the event, and for the many teachers and administrators who volunteered their time.
