🎶🎉 On Friday, May 2, the 8th Grade Band & Chorus proudly represented DBAMS at the Music in the Parks Adjudication Festival in Hershey, PA! 🏅 The Band earned 3rd place with a rating of EXCELLENT, and the Chorus took 1st place, also with a rating of EXCELLENT! 👏 To top it off, DBAMS was honored with the prestigious Esprit de Corps Award, recognizing the school for demonstrating the highest level of positive attitude, support, teamwork, and outstanding behavior throughout the day. 🎢 After a fantastic morning of performances, students celebrated with an afternoon of fun at Hersheypark. 🎾 Huge congratulations to Chase Gerloff, our District III 3A Champion! 🏆 Representing Daniel Boone, Chase entered the PIAA District III Class 3A Boys Tennis Singles Tournament as the player to beat—and he absolutely delivered. On April 19, 1969, Daniel Boone held its first-ever Junior-Senior Prom at the historic Sunnybrook Ballroom—a tradition that has stood the test of time. Just check out those classic white tuxedos, elegant long gloves, and timeless style!

Fast forward to today: our 2025 prom is happening this Saturday, May 3rd—once again at Sunnybrook! We can't wait to see how the fashions have evolved since that night 56 years ago. 👗✨🎶

Junior-Senior Prom Is Held At Sunnybrook Ballroom. For the first time, the Daniel Boone Junior-Senior Prom was held at the spacious Sunnybrook Ballroom. The banquet and dance began at 6:30 PM on April 1, 1969. Receiving guests were the Junior and Senior class officers and their dates, the junior class advisor, Mr. Dantas, and Dr. Willar and Mr. Schlegel. The opening invocation was given by the Reverend Kenneth Cosbey, pastor of St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church. Introductions and greetings by Mr. Schlegel were followed by Donald Millard's welcome to the Seniors, and Kurt Snyder's acceptance of welcome. The menu included breast of capon, whipped potatoes, and corn. Dancing began at eight o'clock and continued until eleven. The program opened with a waltz for class officers and faculty, followed by dancing for everyone. Music was provided by the Nu Creation.

🏆 Big Congrats to Owen Heimbach! 🧱
Owen took 1st place in Masonry at the SkillsUSA State Competition held in Hershey from April 2–4! He crushed a 20-minute written exam and completed a complex brick and block project in just 5 hours—something only 3 out of 10 participants managed to finish. Thanks to his stellar performance, Owen is heading to Atlanta from July 23–28 to compete on the national stage against 44 other top contenders! There, he’ll take another written exam and tackle a 6-hour masonry project. We’re incredibly proud of Owen and wish him the best as he prepares for Nationals and his future career at Zook Masonry. 👷‍♂️💪 #BooneProud #SkillsUSA #FutureIsBrickSolid
