DBAHS Student Recognition: Tyler Ferenz
Shout out to Tyler Ferenz for spending a week in Los Angeles, California as he represented DBAHS in the Environmental Engineering category at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). ISEF is the largest pre-college STEM science fair in the world. Tyler was among 1700 finalists from 67 countries. Tyler will be nominated into The Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society of which 200 Nobel Prize winners and world renowned scientists have been members.

Berks' Best 2024: Daniel Boone Area School District Students
The Reading Eagle with the Berks County Community Foundation sponsor an annual Berks' Best event. Each High School in Berks County selects two students to represent each of 11 categories.
Students must submit an application for review to the Reading Eagle selected judges.
Of our 22 candidates, Daniel Boone is proud to have finalists in several categories.
Three students will represent Daniel Boone and hold the title as Berks' Best within their specific category. Those students are noted below.
Congratulations to all of our finalists and our three Berks' Best who will be recognized at a luncheon May 21, 2024 and receive a $500 check.

DBAHS Tennis Update: Sam Shank & Evan Miller
Congratulation to Sam and Evan for earning post season recognition! For the 3rd straight year, Sam was named a Berks 3A District Selection for singles and an to the All Berks County All Star team. Evan was named to the All Berks 1 Division Team. Together, as a Doubles Team, they were selected as Berks 3A District Representatives.

DBAMS Music Department: 8th Grade in the Parks
On Friday, May 3rd, the 8th Grade Band and Chorus traveled to Hershey, PA to participate in the Music in the Parks Adjudication Festival. Both ensembles delivered their best performances of the year to receive strong feedback, "Excellent" ratings, and strong scores from the festival evaluators. 8th Grader, Amelia Shelgren, was also named as Outstanding Vocalist for her solo in the chorus performance. Following the competition, the students enjoyed beautiful weather while exploring Hersheypark during the afternoon hours before traveling back home! Congratulations to all our 8th Grade Musicians!
